Lymm Dickensian Day Celebrations

The Lymm Runners Santa Dash is now an established fixture in the Lymm Dickensian Day celebration. We open the parade in a colourful flash of red and white. You will be given a special Lymm Runners Santa Dash suit as part of your entry fee so everyone will be dressed for the occasion.

Now in its 10th year, the Fun Run creates a buzz at the start of the procession. The route goes through the village to the applause from the crowds who line the pavements each year to support this long-established event.
Entry is open to Fun Runners aged 8+ capable of completing the 5km course. The Santa Stride is a shorter option for power-walking Santas. So, whether you plan to run it or walk it, you’ll be in the best festive company and all you happy Santas could finish around a similar time.

The start is outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge and we will lead off the Main DICKENSIAN DAY Procession. Down Eagle Brow and through the heart of the village. It’s a real experience! It is a fun run rather than a “race” so you are encouraged to jog down Eagle Brow and take in and enjoy the special atmosphere for a unique run experience.

Santa Dash Route

The route can be viewed on our MapMyRun route map. The finish line is at Sow Brook where you will receive your finisher’s souvenir and it is a short walk from there back to the village to take part in the rest of the Dickensian Day festivities.

RUN EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOLS:

Keeping in the spirit of Dickensian Day, the Lymm Runners Santa Dash aims to make sport equipment donations to the local Lymm Primary Schools. The aim is to support and help in the development of junior running in the local community. We have donated a bag full of training kits to Cherry Tree & Statham Primary Schools, supplied a race kit for Cherry Tree and Oughtrington Cross Country Teams and provided sports play equipment to Little Bollington CP School.
If your school could benefit from acquiring some athletic training kit then get in touch with Chris@lymmrunners.org.uk
