Chester Marathon and Knutsford 10K

This past weekend, the Chester Marathon took place, with Yvonne leading the way for our club. Congratulations to Paul, Elizabeth, and Chris for completing their first marathon. In the Chester Metric Marathon, Jon was first home for our club and also secured first place in his age category.

The previous week featured the Knutsford 10K race, where Jonathon finished first for our club and Fae was the club’s top female finisher. Notably, Jonathon, Tara, Germaine, and Emma all achieved personal bests during the race.The day before, Phil finished first at the local Warrington parkrun, with Lynn and Jim also securing first place in their respective categories.

A special shout out to Ali for successfully completing the Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra, a grueling 57-mile run that starts in Glasgow and finishes in Edinburgh.

Finally, Lymm Runners were pleased to sponsor a bench outside the village library. Dedicate to our friends who have left us too soon.
