Birchwood Brook 5K and Colshaw Hall 10K

The club had an impressive turnout at the Colshaw Hall 10K on Sunday. This year, a new course was introduced, which turned out to be incredibly fast. Phil set a new club record for his age category and achieved a platinum standard, finishing first for the club. Additionally, Michael, Thom, Neil, Andrew, Tara, Nicola, Katie, and Steven all achieved personal bests.

The Birchwood Brook 5K marked the final race in the North Cheshire 5K Grand Prix series. Despite the cold and damp evening, with a muddy last 100m, Phil led the club home and secured first place in his category. Georgina was the first lady Lymm Runner to cross the finish line.

Stuart placed 4th in the Montane Summer Spine Sprint, a grueling 46-mile non-stop race along the Pennine Way from Edale to Hebden Bridge. Meanwhile, Chris L is currently participating in the Montane Summer Challenger | MRT North, a challenging 160-mile route starting from Hardraw in North Yorkshire and finishing at Kirk Yetholm.

On an international level, Mike and Carolyn successfully completed the 21km Birkebeinerløpet trail race in Norway. This race is renowned as one of the most prestigious running events in the country, starting at Birkebeineren Skistadion and concluding at Håkons Hall near Lillehammer.
