
As the year draws to an end, it’s a good opportunity to think about the many accomplishments that members of the club have achieved in 2015. There are so many accolades to choose from which goes to show what a tremendous year it has been.
It is always a worry creating a list of achievements due to the fear of missing somebody out, but below is a ‘shortlist’ of some of the many achievements throughout the year.
- Jonny Smith for completing the Loch Ness marathon in sub-3 hours
- Jane Burton for completing the Moscow marathon
- Claire Berry for completing her first marathon in memory of her Mum
- Jenny McClelland achieving a ‘good for age’ time at the Manchester marathon
- Katy O’Connor for completing the Lanzarote half marathon
- Germaine Holmes for completing her first marathon in London
- Jim Dawson for achieving a gold standard at the Stockport 10
- Mary Burton for achieving a PB at the Dublin marathon after a long injury period
- Jo Sparkman for completing the Gritstone Grind
- Pete Burton for completing three ultra marathons (Gritstone, WW and Hardmoors) and the London marathon
- John Croall for completing the Snowdonia half marathon and the Matterhorn Ultraks
- Samantha Tennant for completing the Nantwich Sprint Triathlon
