About Us

Founded in February 2010, we are proudly affiliated with England Athletics (UKA) and are dedicated to racing and running for both fitness and enjoyment.

As a welcoming club, our mission is to promote running for fun, fitness, and competition in the Lymm area. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced runner, you will receive a warm welcome and ample encouragement. Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and over, with no upper age limit.

We have running sessions on 4 days of the week: on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and we also have Power Walking sessions see our Run Sessions page for more information.

We organise a number of successful races throughout the year which includes the:

We also:

  1. Run a marshal station at the Manchester Marathon in April
  2. Provide pacers for Warrington parkrun a couple of time per year
  3. Provide Strength and Conditioning sessions
  4. Have away day parkruns
  5. Have an awards evening to celebrate members successes
  6. Have a summer party
  7. Have occasional social evenings
  8. Provide informative talks by invited guests,
  9. Put on a 12 days of Christmas program over the Christmas period
  10. Have a specific charity to raise money for. This year it is MOVE Against Cancer is a small, UK-based registered charity that supports, inspires, and empowers individuals living with and beyond cancer to focus on their physical and mental wellbeing through physical activity and movement

Becoming a member of Lymm Runners also allows you to take part in the Local Cross Country Leagues (Saturday and Sunday mornings, Winter season), an opportunity to represent the club and get muddy in the process… what could be nicer!?

In addition to our website here, we have a Facebook Group and WhatApp chats for club members where we communicate what’s on; which races we are off to, lifts to share, news about training sessions – and occasional social events too.

But you don’t need to become a member straight away – come along to a couple of sessions first. If you decide it’s not for you that’s fine. Just turn up and say hello…. who knows what fun you might have!
