In summary, the Welfare Officer’s role is to help advise and support the club to implement welfare policies and procedures. In addition, they support the club in adhering to codes of conduct and good practice.


The club has two great welfare Officer who know and understand us well.

Our female welfare officer is Natalile, who can be contacted at womenswelfare@lymmrunners.org.uk


Our male welfare officer is Jim, who can be contacted at welfare@lymmrunners.org.uk

What The Role Involves

  • Promote safeguarding at the club and encourage good practice.
  • Ensure volunteers have complied with the volunteer recruitment process.
  • Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintain appropriate records of reported safeguarding concerns and any actions taken.
  • Liaise with the EA Welfare Officer and/or statutory agencies if/when required.

I’m Natalie Dixon, most people call me Nat. I am the female welfare officer for lymm runners.

I signed up for the beginners course in January 2022 and have never looked back, I am so passionate about the club I became a run leader in 2025.

I have completed the England athletics training for Adult Welfare and I also hold a current DBS
