The Runcorn Town Park course is varied and contains the famous ‘ski slope’ which runners tackle twice. The course is underlating, twisty and can get muddy in places, there are two laps, and is considered one of the tougher courses.
How to get there
The base for the race is the Brookvale Leisure Centre, address:
- Barnfield Avenue,
- From Lymm take the M56 and exit at J11,
- Take the A56 which morphs into the A533 by the Vodaphone center, go over the M56 to a large roundabout,
- Go straight across the roundabout to Murdishaw Avenue,
- Take the first left turning at the next roundabout onto Barnfield Avenue.
The leisure center is on the left. The start of the course is a short walk behind the leisure center.
There is ample parking at the leisure center.
There and changing facilities and toilets at the leisure center.
The results and refreshments will be at the leisure center.
