Our Beginners Course will start on Tuesday 2nd January 2018. If you’ve heard about it (or been along to it) before you will know that it’s a really popular course and a great deal of fun.
Booking is Essential
Places on the course are limited and booking is essential.
To maintain safety and to ensure we have sufficient leaders and physical space we simply have to restrict the size of group. Please book early.
The Beginners Course 2018 costs £29 and this will include membership Lymm Runners AND UK Athletics affiliation from the start of the course right through to March 31st 2019!
It’s a bargain. A truly fantastic investment to be made – in you!
But to confirm all this good stuff we must receive your application and payment.
Joining a running club can seem a bit daunting if you’re not yet running – or not running very far. And how can you know if you’ll enjoy it / stick with it etc?
Don’t be put-off; we are a friendly bunch of runners, we are not all super-fit or super-fast, and we celebrate all those who are willing to give running a go.
As for not being sure if running is for you – well nobody can ever be sure, but if you want to contact one of our Beginners Leads and find out a bit more please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org
Legal Stuff & Administration
At all course sessions we will maintain a registration list of participants. You will be asked to ‘tick-in’ at every session you attend. When you tick your name you are confirming presence, and accepting you do so at your own risk.
Lymm Runners is a local running club affiliated to UKA. We are organised by a committee, and sessions are led by UKA Licensed run leaders and coaches – all of whom are volunteers. Our public liability insurance is provided by UKA and we are asked by County Partners of UKA (Active Cheshire) to maintain a register of participants at training sessions we offer.
Newsletters & Club Communication
As part of the Beginners Course you will receive a weekly email newsletter. It contains a round-up of the week’s progress, highlights what’s coming up and provides important news about the club and local running events.
With club membership, UKA affiliation, emailed newsletters, course registers etc there are a lot of forms and, potentially, a lot of data. Our Data Protection Policy is available on this website. We respect your privacy, the requirements of data protection and never pass on your data to any third party (other than UKA via their partner organisation Active Cheshire as stated in our policy).
Securing Your Place on the Course
Right, you’ve read the book; it’s time to apply!
We have tried to provide clear information and anticipate your questions here, but if you have any queries or concerns, please email us – thanks.
