High Legh 10K 2013

Lymm Runners are proud to help organise the High Legh 10K in partnership with the High Legh Community Association.

Link to high Legh community Association websiteThis year, thanks to many of the new runners who have joined us at New Year, Lymm Runners fielded a mighty 35 entrants to this 500 runner event. In addition we provided organising committee members, general organisers, helpers, and supporters.

We work closely with the Community Association in High Legh to achieve a really great local event. This small, friendly 10K consistently gets rave reviews for its community welcome and organisation.

Helpers, organisers, marshals, time-keepers, supporters… and 35 runners too!

We have a reputation as one of the friendliest races in the country! Even in the darkest of winter months you are sure of a warm welcome from the whole village of High Legh.

The Course

After 1k through High Legh village (including Robert Moffat), the course uses predominantly flat leafy Cheshire lanes with only a few rolling sections.

Run-the-Route

Lymm Runners led two ‘Run the Route’ sessionsin the lead-up to the race. This was a chance for all runners to become familiar with the race route – identify possible hazards and learn what’s coming around every corner.

For those who were not race-ready there was an option to run part of the route only.

You can see the two routes on MapMyRun; FULL 10K ROUTE AND 7.5KMS PART ROUTE.
